Welcome to the site of the European Parliament's Delegation for relations with the South Caucasus.

This delegation is part of three joint inter-parliamentary committees:

· the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Partnership Committee

· the EU-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, and

· the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Association Committee

Our mandate begins at a moment of growing geopolitical importance of the South Caucasus region. The region has recently faced significant challenges, ranging from both domestic developments and regional conflicts that have reshaped its landscape and created a new geopolitical environment, which directly influences the relations between the European Union and the three South Caucasus countries. The region also holds immense strategic, cultural, and economic importance for the EU, and we must ensure that our partnership remains strong, resilient, and forward-looking. Our work here is vital in fostering those connections.

I am deeply honoured to be the Chair of the Delegation for relations to South Caucasus. Our focus will be on strengthening dialogue, promoting regional stability, and enhancing cooperation in key areas such as security, rule of law, and human rights.

I look forward to working toward strengthening these partnerships and building a more prosperous and peaceful future for the South Caucasus.
